You can’t use “God not stopping me” as an excuse for something you knew you shouldn’t do but did anyway. There’s ALWAYS a way of escape. Using it is entirely up to you. Every single time I ignored that? I was sorry. I don’t know about you, but I can’t afford any avoidable setbacks at this point in my life. 🤷🏻♀️
“No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.”
I Corinthians 10:13
It’s not over for you. If you are still standing? Whatever attempted to take you out failed and it failed because you’re not finished. It doesn’t matter what it looks like, feels like, or what any doctor has reported. If God be for you? Who then can be against you? The testing & trails of God’s people is to help everyone else see the difference between the wheat and the weeds. Pay attention. How you act during a non ideal circumstance speaks volumes to onlookers.
If you want more fulfilling relationships with other people this year try this:
STOP posting the blow by blow all over social media, ENJOY your private moments and if you feel the need to share a photo? Do it when it’s over. Then try actually spending time with people while not being on your phone. This system is flawless it worked for thousands of years before there was social media.
You are either a builder or destroyer. You either spend your time building people up or tearing them down.
You either mostly talk about people or talk to them.
You are a person who speaks life into others or you are a person who speaks death.
Do your words line up to how you desire to live your life? Are you behaving in a manner that communicates the kind of person you want to be?
I don’t get offended when people lie to me because in order for a person to lie to you, they lie to themselves first so I can’t take that personal that’s a self-issue. The only part about deception that makes me squint though is the assumption that I don’t know it’s a lie because basically you’re trying to insult God’s discernment within me and my intelligence.
One of the most dangerous things in this world yet so often under discussed is the mindset of self-deception. The inability to recognize yourself as you truly are will prevent you from ever really growing or changing. Too many times people fall into a place where they think they have it all figured out and they don’t. Nobody ever has it all figured out and you can’t ever be wise until you first realize you’re stupid. Don’t you know when a man thinks he’s able to stand he falls? (1 Corinthians 10:12) or that any man who is wise in his own eyes is a fool? (Isaiah 5:21, Proverbs 26:12) If you TRULY desire to live a Christ-like lifestyle? Your life is going to be a series of death & resurrection and it should be progressive (old things dying to be more like Him) not digressing (becoming more like the very things He set you free from in the first place). Perfection isn’t required but at some point common sense and maturity should be developing & if it’s not? GetChoMindRight How sad would it be to live your life deceiving yourself and then stand before the throne and He says “depart from me, I know you not”? (Matthew 7:21-23)
Let this marinate for a second…. lots of people have been video taping themselves while driving a car lately. They have an insight they want to share or something they need to get off their chest. So, you want to impart your knowledge while you are video taping yourself driving and posting it obviously so we can all hear how smart you are while watching you do something completely stupid (and not to mention selfish) that actually may kill you or another person? Or how about It’s all fun & games until the worse case consequence impacts you directly or someone you love, then you’d be the first one ready to tear somebody’s head off & sue them for exactly what you just did.Don’t misunderstand the point of this, I’m not trying to hurt your feelings, I’m trying to get you to use a little wisdom with that knowledge.
