Can we Auto-Correct Humanity? by @princeea

SONY DSC

Meet Prince EA. I came across his You Tube video “Can we Auto-Correct Humanity?”  this morning and was so impressed I had to blog it Fam.

There is a distinct difference between rap and hip-hop. The category hip-hop indicates that there is knowledge within the content of the music. Personally, the message in the music is right on time. Hopefully, more people will listen and start to control their technology instead of their technology controlling them.

“Fair Warning”
By Author & Poet: Michael Lee Womack
You wouldn’t give only half of yourself, or your energy to her during sex So why do you do it with your relationship? I’m pretty sure that you would give her the whole thing, and not just the tip You’re all over her whenever he mentions sex…, but run fast as ever whenever you hear a word that ends with “ship” Friendship, relationship You don’t want nothing to do with it You only care about how seeing how many inches of yourself that you can get inside of her All because you want to “hit it”, a.k.a “nail her” She doesn’t deserve the heartbreak So I just wish that someone would tell her, and give her a fair warning Just like the weather forecaster does before it starts storming If you enjoyed your reading of this poem of mine, then I highly encourage you to take a minute of your time to view my website http://www.womackpoetry.com/ P.S. Thank you in advance for taking the time to do so. Sincerely, Author & Poet: Michael Lee Womack

National Poetry Month “Where’s my King?” by @queenofthebeast

purp2

You wonder why, I’m so mean?

Cause it ain’t easy, being Queen

I might be mean, but I keep it real

Even when, it’s not ideal

You can judge, you can pretend

But what you tell me, you can’t defend

You think I’m stupid, and I might be crazy

But truth is, you’re too damn lazy

Too damn lazy to realize

That all you need is right inside

You need to dig deeper, than what you see

Cause what you see, can’t set you free

It’s smoke and mirrors, its half truths

That’s how you see things in your youth

But now you’re grown, so be a man

Talk to your Maker, He understands

It’s time to stand, for what is right

But you’ve already taken flight

You’ve taken no responsibility

For the person, you came to be

Why can’t you see, what I see?

That you were created, made for me

To stand by me and conquer together

But you’re only around, during fair weather

Never ready to weather the storm

Never venturing out of the norm

It ain’t easy being Queen

Being a Queen without her King

But I need a King, in his rightful place

Who knows that this is not a race

Who knows that it’s our journey together

Who knows together, we’re much better

But you tear down, what has been built

Cause you can’t see past, your own guilt

Now I forgive you, so why can’t you?

Forgive yourself, and see it through

See it through, see past your pain

I’ll walk with you, through the rain

I just need a king, to adjust my crown

When things get tough and I’m feeling down

To remind me that you got my back

And what we face, don’t mean jack

Cause you got me and I got you

And God’s got us, and He’s right on cue

What God put together, can’t separate

Let them try, they’ll seal their fate

Now take your sword and shield and fight

Cause He will come, like thief in the night

Let us pray, to become one

Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done

So be the King you were created to be

And I’ll stand by you, as your Queen

Purple Lionesse @queenofthebeast is the Chief Operating Officer at Battlegrownd Entertainment, #OPERATIONREVOLUTION as well as the current Management contact for @queentheprophet. She is an amazing Mom (and I get to say that because her oldest is my Goddaughter and who’s going to tell me otherwise? It’s my blog 🙂 LOL ) and my best friend. Apparently she is a glutton for punishment because she’s still my friend after 20 years. Be on the look out for a compiled collection of Purp’s works “Purple Lion Poems” which will be available in e-book format for Christmas 2013!

National Poetry Month “CRY” by @blkbmbshell

poem4

Cry
When I do, I do it gradually
One drop at a time. So minor, smooth, discreet
A small unnoticeable particle
Sliding down my soft brown cheek.
From time to time I let it out
Too emotional to speak
Deep in my belly there’s a rupture
Finally I’ve sprung a leak.
Trying to keep my composure
Because its so important to me
Quietly I hide away
In hopes to contain my misery.
Its hopeless! I realize as I convulse,
In pain, I shake and my heart aches.
I try to hide my blood shot eyes.
My legs tremble and my heart breaks.
Secretly I wonder; will it ever cease?
But the truth of the matter is
I need this sweet release.
The pain, the joy, the excitement, the sadness
the love, the hate, the grief, the gladness
A rolling wave of relief
With an undercurrent of pain
There’s so much to lose
Yet much more to gain.

Forgive Me.

I don’t know everything, but I know certain truths. Forgive me.

I know what belongs to me and I’m taking it back. Forgive me.

I won’t let my past shame me. Forgive me.

I won’t let your words have power over me. Forgive me.

I know who I was. Forgive me.

I know who I am. Forgive me.

I have done things that I can’t undo. Forgive me.

I am not perfect. Forgive me.

I am not flawless. Forgive me.

I am righteous. Forgive me.

I am a follower of truth. Forgive me.

I am a seeker of wisdom. Forgive me.

I am a promoter of peace. Forgive me.

I am not willing to be defeated. Forgive me.

I am ready for war. Forgive me.

National Poetry Month “Year of the Snake” by QueentheProphet

snake

Don’t envy those when its lies they speak

Proof shine through the pudding, their mind is weak

Trust in God He shall always provide

Reap & sow, karma takes her ride

They move like snakes as they slither in the grass

They cast their stones, but their house is made of glass

Better than less than is the mindset they walk

Filter trick knowledge every time they talk

For every dirty deed gets written in the book

So no need to lose sleep over a half way crook

For what they do to you, well that’s on them

We all pay the price of admission when we reach the end

No matter what they say, continue in what’s right

Anything done in darkness shall always come to light

In the presence of your enemies your table is prepared

Get ready to feast, there’s nothing to fear

On their bellies they crawl, to eat dust they shall remain

My name is QueentheProphet, I’ve come to change the game.

National Poetry Month “The Struggle” by QueentheProphet

zen

The Struggle

There comes a time, there comes a point

You must CHOOSE wrong or right

I cannot, I will not do it like everybody else

We all stand before our maker and can only vouch for our self

I’ve done good and I’ve done bad

I’ve made some choices I wish I never had

I’ve known love, suffering, loss, & pain

I’ve lived through things that make most insane

I’ve known people that I called friend

They turned out to be nothing but a snake in the end

All of these things don’t mean much

If I allow myself to wallow in its negative clutch

If you can take your struggle and make it a lesson

I promise you that in it you’ll find blessing

Build or destroy is the name of the game

Either way you choose will bring about change

So when you feel like you’re off track

Grab your life & take it back

It’s never too late as long as you have breath

There’s just no good reason to both live & die in death
