Starting June 20-June 27, 2014 Queentheprophet.com is offering FREE blog features (normal cost $15) with 3-days of FREE promo (social media sharing, normal cost $20) for Artists, Authors, Radio, and small businesses.
What’s the catch? Well there isn’t one really other than if you receive a free feature, please share it via social media. The only other “catch” is that you please read the submission instructions carefully because your submission must be a complete submission the first time (meaning all of the information requested including pictures, links, social media handles, etc) must all be together in your email submission. Incomplete submissions will not be processed.

Consultation/ STRATEGIC PLAN- $50
Regular price for consultation is $100 per hour. For the next few weeks, I will customize strategic plans for new /indie artists that cannot afford official Artist Management. Basically, $50 will buy you free consultation from an experienced Artist Manager/ Developer and a detailed written plan (course of action) customized for you personally and instructions on how to do it all yourself. The consultation will include a 60-minuet phone assessment at no charge. Who would benefit from this? An indie artist that cannot afford formal management, wants to release a project and has no idea how to do it or where to begin. If you feel you would like more support afterwards, add 2- hours of Artist Development and pay $100 for the entire package.

INDIE ARTISTS – Spend wisely COMMON UNDERGROUND MUSIC SCHEMES
Most of us have said or heard, “if it don’t make dollars, it don’t make sense”. Same is true when you’re spending your money. Most people don’t like to waste money. Most people can’t afford to get robbed.
When you are an independent artist, you get robbed all the time. As much as we try to avoid this, people lose money all the time because there are people who will do or say anything just to make a few dollars. Here’s the SAD TRUTH…. these plots don’t impact the people who could recover from loosing $25 easily (not that ANYONE deserves to get robbed). These blood suckers take it from YOU. The struggling artist with a dream, scraping up your last to put your music out. They are aware of this. That’s why you are their target. You’re more likley to get mad and then just go away.
Some of the most common schemes in the underground music community:
- Mix tape Slots- There’s no MXTP. You pay pal a stranger $10-$25 and they BANK on you not ever suing them. Why would you? It’ll cost you more to track them down and take them to court. (Do this to 4 people X $25 you made $100)
- Promotion- Their followers, views, etc aren’t real. They’re bought. Then you pay $50 for tweets to fake people.
- The “Showcase”- Unless you personally know what the A & R reps at each record label look like (and you should, it’s on the internet most of the time) stop spending your money. You are paying to perform in front of other rappers in the same boat as you. If you don’t bring a crowd, your crowd is other rappers. 9 x out of 10 there is no prize, nobody gets the prize, and the “Showcase” is someone who worked at a radio station, has hook-ups at local clubs, and then charges you to perform in front of other people that paid to perform.
- “Tours”- The state to state tours. You again are paying to perform in front of other artists that paid to be there. Who do you know that was signed from a tour or a showcase? Seriously.
- “Verbal Contract” Anything done verbally is dangerous. Yes you can go to court with it, but you better have good supporting evidence (phone records, emails, receipts). Everything should be in writing. Keep a paper trail.
Don’t be stupid. Do your homework before you pay people to do something.
A real business person values their reputation and will provide you with an invoice detailing what you’re paying for. Nobody can promise you the moon, you can invest $10k into music promotion and if the music is bad, it is what it is and is the luck of the draw just like it is for everyone else. The best that you can hope for & do for yourself on a limited budget is find people who will give you what you pay for.

We at Battlegrownd Entertainment believe the TRUE spirit of hip-hop comes from the underground. Traditionally hip-hop has always represented hope that regular people could “make it”. Over the last few years, real hip-hop became commercialized and the industry began to appoint artists instead of the people selecting their champs as it always was. #OPERATIONREVOLUTION is dedicated to an uproar in the underground community. We’re taking hip-hop back.

- Bio or any information about yourself you want included

RAP BATTLE:
- Email a decent quality live Rap Battle video (you can use a cell phone as long as it’s iPhone or Droid quality)
- Include the twitter names and any other of the social media links associated with each person involved in the battle (PLEASE LABEL WHO they belong to)
- Include links to music
- Include the photos you want used (PLEASE LABEL WHO is in each photo)
- Bios or any other information about yourself you want included
- Put “BATTLE” in the subject line of your email

Let’s let the people decide if your music is good. Send us a link to your song (if you don’t have a Sound Cloud, send us the Mp3 and we will load it to the blog Sound Cloud) I normally tell folks to make sure it’s professionally recorded, mixed & mastered. Not this time though. If you want to put an unpolished piece of music out that represents yourself, that’s on you. I’m not going to tell you that’s a bad idea. The number of votes will. If you vote for yourself all day long, that’s on you too. See when you buy views or cheat, you only cheat yourself. If those unrealistic numbers can’t translate in to actual dollars? You accomplish nothing more then making yourself feel like a rock star for a few minuets.

KEEP RECEIPTS, EMAILS, TEXT MESSAGES …. EVERYTHING anytime you exchange money for a service. INVESTIGATE who you are doing business with! Fam, there are too many people out here that WILL take your money and not care. Unless it’s a significant amount of money (this means MORE then what it’s going to cost you hiring a lawyer and going to small claims court) you’re going to get robbed. Who hires a lawyer to chase down $25 for a MXTP slot? Nobody. That’s EXACTLY what these bastards bank on. They do that to 4 people they just made a quick $100.
My personal #HipHop robbery was for thousands and at the hands of a “FRIEND”. So…when things like this happen we can let it make us miserable people and go head and put more negative stuff in the atmosphere OR we can start giving stuff away and provoke favor to move on our behalf. I told you I was the Robin Hood of #HipHop…. Any other questions?
