Life has painful moments

Rest in knowing God works ALL THINGS together for your good… even the painful. Pain will teach you more then pleasure ever will. Every great victory or next level comes after intense pain, pressure, sacrifice, or struggle. You are not running the race of life against another person, so all you have to do is finish the race.

Start a business with your Tax Refund

Source: Black Wall Street

Folks I am a living testimony that you do not need to have thousands of dollars to start a business.

In all honesty, the single most important thing I can tell you is find what you’re good at. Sounds simple but I have seen time and time again a lot of people pick what they see someone else doing because it “looks easy” from an outside perspective. Well? Of course it does, because it’s THEIR gift. YOUR gift will “look” easy to people who don’t have it too.

Listen, starting any business or business venture is never easy. Don’t make it harder than it has to be. Everyone has God-given gifts and talents. Find YOURS. A wise woman once told me that “God has given each one of us a gift or talent that we can make money with and provide for our households”. I believe that.

Everyone starts somewhere, and we wobble before we can actually walk. If it’s in your heart to start something you can call your own, go for it!

Be an Encourager

Just a random thought…

The world is FILLED with an overwhelming amount of selfishness.

Be an encourager, we defiantly need more of those.

Planting Seeds

Never underestimate the power of a seed. Some seeds are strategically planted to grow into toxic fruit. What does toxic fruit do? Breeds selfishness, corrupts character, morals, and other wise good sense. But the fruit of the Spirit of God? Those seeds harvest love, patience, kindness, gentleness, joy, faithfulness, humility, and self-control. (Gal. 5:22-23) We are all afforded the opportunity to plant seeds. Stay aware of what you’re planting & make sure you’re planting what you want to eat.

#WednesdayWisdom Karma or nah?

The philosophy of karma is closely associated with the idea of rebirth in many schools of Indian religions (particularly Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism) as well as Taoism.

Karma, a Sanskrit word that roughly translates to “action,” is a core concept in some Eastern religions, including Hinduism and Buddhism. … For example, karma is often misused to denote luck, destiny or fate. Karma is also misused as a way to explain sudden hardships

So basically, a whole lot of people (even the people of God) use this word as a substitute for the scripture Galatians 6:7 “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap” KJV assuming it has the same meaning because they heard someone else also misuse it. For the biblically conscious person who is aware of the power that resides in their mouth as a believer, may I suggest that you start using the internet access in the palm of your hand to research new words and trends before you become a partaker of them? We live in the Information Age, ignorance is a choice. (Hosea 4:6 “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge” KJV)

Every morning is a fresh start

Often times we make things way more complicated then they actually are.

Everyday is a new opportunity with God. He doesn’t hold grudges. His mercies are renewed every morning. Your yesterday doesn’t have to be today, and your past doesn’t have to dictate your future.

If you need a fresh start today, all you have to do is ask Him.

The Power of Consistency

People underestimate the power in consistency. If you’re living for God or even promoting your #business or product, be consistent. Consistency is not plastering the same post nine thousand times or trying to meme your way into heaven. Consistency in your faith or brand is all about what your public and private display is. There’s a whole lot of people who say one thing and do the opposite. The number of “positive” and “righteous” folks who publicly flip flop depending upon whatever their emotions dictate for the moment is disgusting.

The only thing I believe when someone is positive one second and savage the next is that the person is double minded and unstable.

If you want to see success in any area of your life? Stop complaining and be consistent. Consistency will open more doors then social media temper tantrums.

Suffer the pain of discipline or regret. The choice is yours.

There is a reason self control is named a “fruit of the Spirit” in the Bible. Everybody has at least one thorn in their side that self control could fix. The problem is nobody is willing to suffer through the pain of discipline. Sometimes you can’t eat things, engage in certain conversations, spend money, etc. Sometimes you have to suffer the pain of discipline in order to not suffer the pain of regret which will absolutely show up if you don’t get some self control.

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.”

#WednesdayWisdom Drama or a season?

#WednesdayWisdom Results or excuses, you can’t have both.

Did you know the word excuse is actually defined as “an attempt to lessen the blame, seeking relief of a duty, seeking to justify or defend”?

Some of the most common excuses I hear all the time are about loosing weight, saving money, not being able to fully be in a relationship again because they were hurt, and not being able to find a good job. An excuse is basically the same thing as a lie and unfortunately these are lies we most often tell ourselves.

Something becomes an excuse instead of a reason when you honestly haven’t tried everything. God gave us all a beautiful mind and if we truly want results and put our mind to it? It can be done. The question then becomes “How bad do you really want results?”

Everyone’s had their heart broken at least once, choosing to move on, heal, get counseling if need be are all a personal decision that requires a personal commitment. The same thing applies to finding a job. Most people never even bother to tap the free resource of their department of labor, which in many states offers free job training to underemployed adults or out of school youth. Saving money requires self control and discipline. There are so many free resources available online to help you budget, invest & save but people spend more time on social media then they do using the internet as an actual resource.

The point is, if you want to see results in any area of your life it’s going to require a committed decision, not excuses. Hold yourself accountable, ask for help, and utilize every resource available to you before you go throwing in the towel.
