Seeing as how it’s the first day of March (2015), what better way to jump into a new season then to launch something new? (Not to mention, March is Social Worker’s month!) I’d like to take the time to introduce to you a brand new blog section (that you now can find right at the top of the home screen menu bar via queentheprophet.com) “Ask QTP” which will be a good o’l fashioned advice column.
I regularly get approached on my social media handles with questions about something I posted or just people reaching out for some advice or insight on a certain subject matter that I posted and most of the time I’m being asked something that a lot of people could probably benefit from. So, I decided to give this a whirl and we’ll see how it goes. Please read the submission instructions carefully below. As always, thank you for reading & your continued support!
“ASK QTP” Submission Instructions:
- Email your inquiry to email@example.com (You MUST put “ASK QTP” in the subject line)
- Your inquiry should be an actual situation or question you would like answered or expounded on. I will be more then happy to answer personal questions as long as the content is reasonably appropriate
- If your submission is selected for posting, the reply will be posted publicly under the “Ask QTP” section
- Please make sure you sign your email exactly how you want to be addressed in a public reply. Please DO NOT use your full legal name! You can make up a name or use a first name, last initial with your State/ Country. (i.e. Ruby D, New Jersey, Wondering, Canada)
- If you are in an immediate crisis, please call your local emergency numbers
National Suicide Prevention Lifeline 1 (800) 273-8255
National Domestic Violence Hotline 1 (800) 799-7233
Hope Line 1 (877) 235-4525

It’s been awhile since I’ve updated the blog, but here I am!
Over the next week or so I’m going to post some back dated stuff that should have gone up already, so bare with me! Pretty much the entire month of April I was out of commission due to health reasons, and that was some scary stuff but by the grace of God all is well.
Having some in-hospital time really can pause you and cause you to change your perspective on a lot of things. For me this was the first time I was ever bed ridden and let me tell you, sitting still has never been a strength of mine (just ask any of my elementary school teachers) so this was entirely new for me. My situation also posed a set of challenges that most people don’t have to deal with. My significant other walks with a cane so naturally me being the primary caregiver in my home and being unable to do so scared me to death. I actually had to hit a point within myself during the hospital stay where I realized there were somethings I just did not and could not do anything about because of my circumstances and I had to just deal with it. Funny thing though, as soon as I got at peace with having no control over my situation, is when God stepped in. I have got to say though, the grace of God is a beautiful thing. Grace is favor just because. Not because we deserve it or did anything special, just because. What looked like it was going to be a disaster actually worked in our favor! My Hunny learned how to become a lot more independent then before, I actually got some much needed rest, and some folks we least expected stepped in to help and overall? It was quite the experience.
So glad to be back though! Peace & Blessings to you & yours!
Journey to the throne…..
My Sisters, My Queens, Yes I’m talking to you.
Only the ones who can relate to what this Queen’s gone through.
If your life has been perfect, well then that’s good for you.
I’d never wish on another the things I knew.
My past was in darkness, the worst parts of myself.
Now I look back like it was somebody else.
If the blows start coming when you’re just a little girl,
Meteor shower damage it can do to your world.
If you’ve ever been touched because ignored was your no,
Very easy it is to detach from your soul.
If a man said love but put a fist to your face,
It’s not easy to remove from your memory place.
You swore off love to never feel it again,
Last time you did, he slept with your friend.
If you lived through a life where your family put you out,
Difficult to grasp what the concept of love is about.
No prince charming like the plans that you had.
Impossible to find when you have issues with Dad.
Then when you finally stand up and fight,
It never really turns out just quite right.
The strength from Jezebel you draw secretly makes you a whore.
I know this is painful but you need to hear more.
Your anger hurls you straight into the enemy’s lap.
Deception it is because control never comes back.
Finally one day you rise out of your mess.
You humbly realize this was only a test.
Now your life begins to become blessed,
When you realize God is the one you should impress.
It’s a confident walk when you know what your worth,
Now rise up and claim your thrones Queen’s of the earth.
Don’t worry about the Kings, they won’t be too far.
All along they were only really waiting for you to set the bar.
Loosed from the chains that caused shame in the past,
You finally flow with freedom safely in your grasp.
For once your heart begins the process of restoration,
Soon will come the light of transformation.
Now life’s hits your throne is prepared to take,
Even if they showed up with a video tape.
