It’s not over for you. If you are still standing? Whatever attempted to take you out failed and it failed because you’re not finished. It doesn’t matter what it looks like, feels like, or what any doctor has reported. If God be for you? Who then can be against you? The testing & trails of God’s people is to help everyone else see the difference between the wheat and the weeds. Pay attention. How you act during a non ideal circumstance speaks volumes to onlookers.
You can’t be overly righteous because it cancels the lifestyle of humility and you shouldn’t “feel” judged just because you are confronted. Let that marinate….
Experiencing a drought in your life isn’t always the devil. Sometimes God allows you to be cut off from what you have become dependent upon as your supply (job, relationships, people), so you can rely on the supplier and be aligned to receive what’s already scheduled to be released to you, but exactly at the moment and point of time He has already pre-scheduled. God’s ways are not our ways, His thoughts are not our thoughts. He has ways of teaching us valuable lessons in unusual ways. I can honestly say having a lot of money didn’t form my character, being broke did. I value honest friends because I’ve been betrayed. I appreciate genuine affection because I’ve been abused. Having a weekly paycheck didn’t teach me to walk by faith, loosing my job did. Ya’ll don’t hear me tho *shrug*
(Matthew 6:33) It says SEEK FIRST the kingdom of #God and His righteousness AND THEN all else will be added. You can’t skip the first part & expect stuff . Come on man that’s like showing up to the Olympics demanding a metal and you didn’t even play in the games or like me showing up at the phone company on pay day for a check & I don’t even work there . People that do that are the same folks that look at your hand of cards when you go to the bathroom.
We need more encouragers. This world has enough people & situations that try to ruin, hurt, shame, & break you. Imagine if we all lifted each other up instead. An important thing to remember though, is sometimes the encouragement you need is someone in love, telling you about yourself. What kind of help is it to allow you to believe you never do anything wrong? WE ALL DO. The wise people will love you for rebuking them & a fool will hate you for it (Proverbs 9:8)
I want to demonstrate a point with images most of you can relate to.
You cannot give up, and you are not allowed to quit. There are times during our walk that the refining fire gets turned up. Do you know that sometimes people never reach their full potential or get all that God has for them and it’s their own fault? I am sure you’ve heard the saying “new levels, new devils” right? See, stage 1 is the easy stage and most people get through it after a few tries. The levels get harder as you go up and the obstacles become more difficult.
Sometimes people quit and stay stuck on a certain level because they don’t want to push through the difficulties or feel like they can’t. If God has given you great dreams, great visions, & great purpose? Expect great tests & stress. Change your perspective. Adversary keeps us on our toes otherwise we’d get comfortable and lazy and I don’t care who you are, that’s just straight facts.
Of course we don’t want to be in adversary, uncomfortable, or rocked out of our comfort zone (especially me! Ask anyone who knows me well, I hate even talking to people half the time lol) but nothing great ever came from a comfort zone. You’re welcome.
The best relationship advice I ever received was, “Don’t settle for Ishmael because God has your Isaac on the way.” At the time I received this advice, I ignored this advice and ended up in the WORST relationship I had ever experienced and almost lost my life. The point is, WAIT ON GOD. Don’t settle, don’t try to help God out, don’t try to hurry Him along, and don’t try to dress up the Ishmael YOU chose and parade him around like he’s Isaac. We can save ourselves a lot of necessary pain, tears, and delay of our promise if we learn to just WAIT.
For those of you who may not be familiar with this bible story I’ll give you a quick overview (strongly encourage you to look it up and read it for yourself it begins Genesis 17) God tells Abraham’s wife Sarah that she’s going to have a baby, she’s already 90 and decides to “help God out” and tells her husband to go into her maid and that’s when Ishmael is born. As you can imagine that didn’t go over too well when the baby got here and there was quite the commotion, and to make a long story short Isaac was born as God had promised and they could have saved themselves a whole bunch of trouble had they had just been patient.
