Are you too distracted?

Asking yourself if you’re distracted seems like a silly question because I think most people would agree that in this day, we are all distracted to a certain degree. It’s still a question worth asking because sometimes you have absolutely no idea just how distracted you are until your assessment of it can be objective.

Today marks the end of my 3-month reprioritizing of social media. For the last 90-days, I have stayed off social media from 7am-7pm daily. At first? I couldn’t wait until 7pm rolled around and honestly after the 3rd week of being off for 12-hrs a day? I started to go days then weeks without checking it at all.

Social media is a useful tool. For those of us that use it for business purposes, sometimes it’s necessary. However, a tool is all that it is. Most people have no clue how much real life they are missing being sucked into the internet on a daily basis. They have no idea what’s going on in the world, the only information they know or can recall for basic conversation is something they saw in a post and that is sickening. People have full blown family discussions about what someone’s posting and “posts” have manifested into the core of real life drama for most people.

Most people have completely lost the ability to think for themselves and most of what they do is dictated by what they’re feeding themselves with on a daily basis from the internet. What you spend most of your time doing? Is exactly what you’ll become. If you don’t believe me, challenge yourself to stay off social media for at least 30-days during the hours you’d normally be on. You’ll see. Refocus. Reproritize. Your future self will thank you.

Are you still standing?

It’s not over for you. If you are still standing? Whatever attempted to take you out failed and it failed because you’re not finished. It doesn’t matter what it looks like, feels like, or what any doctor has reported. If God be for you? Who then can be against you? The testing & trails of God’s people is to help everyone else see the difference between the wheat and the weeds. Pay attention.  How you act during a non ideal circumstance speaks volumes to onlookers.

Many are called, few chosen

#WednesdayWisdom

Lots of people can do things and lots do them well. Being able to do something, even exceptionally well still doesn’t mean God called you to do it. So that ends with you spinning your wheels so to speak and running around the same mountains over and over again. However when you get yourself aligned with His purpose and plans for your life? No weapon formed against you shall prosper and no devil in hell can stop you. MANY are called, FEW are chosen. We are chosen by the way we respond to the call. “For many are called, but few are chosen.” Matthew‬ ‭22:14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Last words of 2016

So many people want the end result but not the “process”. It doesn’t matter how “good” you are at something, everything has a process. Often times many people give up right before their breakthrough. You can never have more of this, without getting more of that. Remember that. Everything comes with a price, so don’t envy what someone else has because you have no idea the price they paid to get there.

I wish you all a blessed & safe 2017.

Words to live by

“But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.”

God is still in the miracle working business

image-1

I had to share this with you… some of you may have read a previous article I wrote on September 21st of last year “Blessed to be a blessing” https://queentheprophet.com/2015/09/21/blessed-to-be-a-blessing/ via @Queentheprophet

I had a flat tire, and the man who came to change the tire began to tell me a friend of his recently lost his wife and was now diagnosed with cancer. I told the man I would pray for his friend and closed the article asking all of you to do the same.

So this evening, I was out with a client a few towns over and actually pretty excited because it was my second to last visit with this client. I had put in my resignation earlier today because God has tremendously blessed my own business so that I no longer have a need for extra clients during the week. As we were trying to leave an event, I heard the infamous flat tire noise. Wasn’t a huge deal, we were safe, still in the parking lot and I have road side assistance. Believe me, I’ve learned not to get annoyed with small setbacks because I have lived through worse. So when roadside assistance arrives, as the man began to speak I realized I knew him. I asked him if he had changed my tire about a year ago in my driveway and told me his friend was sick. He looked at me and smiled and said, “how long ago was this?” I said, “I don’t know, 6 months or more.” He smiled and informed me that his friend no longer had cancer and received a clean bill of health from his doctor recently and then he hugged me.

I’m not sure if I am in more awe of God in His awesomeness as a healer or how he set me up almost a year later, and allowed me to have a flat tire and cross paths with the same man just so that I could hear with my own ears that God had heard and answered. So to all of you that prayed? You were heard & God is still in the miracle working business.

Hebrews 2:4 God also bearing witness both with signs and wonders, with various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to His own will

Mark 16:17-18 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;  they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

God is present in your struggle #MondayMotivation

Despite what it LOOKS like, despite what it FEELS like, #God is as present in your struggle as He is in the blessings. (Jeremiah 29:12-13)

The great I AM

What God is about to do in your life is going to be GREATER then anything you’ve ever seen Him do before. God is not a chain message, you don’t have to type amen or share w 10 people by midnight because He IS the great I AM. All you gotta do is believe it to receive it.

Restoration, transformation

You can’t always be politically correct and biblically correct. I chose to be biblically correct. Started saying no to things that offend God and started loosing “friends”, started saying no to opportunities that contradict God and started loosing  money. Then my soul began to prosper. See but the way the kingdom of God is set up, He ALWAYS gives you double for your trouble & anything you give up for His sake, He returns with interest on your investment. Restoration, transformation.

Wheat and Weeds

wheat-tares

The testing, trials, & suffering the people of God face is so the unbelieving can see how the wheat ones handle it from the weed ones. See, there’s good and bad in every kind under the sun. There are a lot of people that say they love God but their actions are far from Him. The only way an unbelieving person would ever know that God loves them, is if you love them (and it will work that way for whatever parts of God’s character you’re trying to witness about). If you want to tell somebody that there is freedom in Christ, even in your struggles then your most effective tool for communicating that message is to let it be alive and well inside of you.  “Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.” Matthew 13:30
