Goodbye 2020

2020.

It’s amazing how fast a year can fly by yet seem to last forever. December of 2019 was when Heaven Razah / Hell Razah was diagnosed with cancer. We rolled into 2020 with a date for surgery in February.

After some complications, he was released from the hospital March 9, 2020 and on March 13, 2020 w everybody was on house arrest because of the corona virus. For Thanksgiving this year we both battled a round with the corona virus.

But despite personal battles and the chaotic state of the world? God has blessed me this year beyond measure. I’ve been working from home, bought a home and have been spending an obscene amount of time with the people I love most.

I have though been missing in action via blog, music wise and social media. So if you’re one of the people who has supported me in anyway over the years just know that you are appreciated. Sometimes life requires us to unplug and recharge and I think most of you can relate to that.

2020 to me is going to be remembered as the year most people basically went nuts. I had that shalom peace though. Knowing that God is with you is powerful. I’m actually excited with anticipation for what’s next. I’ll tell you what though, getting right with God should be a top priority. The clock is ticking, pay attention.

It is sincerely my hope that you have a blessed and healthy New Year!

If you have not seen the movie “Risen, the story of Chron “Hell Razah” Smith ” you’re missing out on a chance to be inspired. Happy New Year folks!

The Lord is my shield

I don’t about you, but I KNOW that the Lord is my shield. I spent the first two weeks of this month in the hospital around the clock with someone who went in for cancer surgery which resulted in two ER visits after discharge and then a second week long admission. Twice in the ER for hours right next to people testing positive for corona and we are both healthy, safe, & symptom free. He is faithful folks. I may not know everything there is available to know, but I do know Him & that’s worthy of testifying about.

“The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭18:2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

God is still in the miracle working business

image-1

I had to share this with you… some of you may have read a previous article I wrote on September 21st of last year “Blessed to be a blessing” https://queentheprophet.com/2015/09/21/blessed-to-be-a-blessing/ via @Queentheprophet

I had a flat tire, and the man who came to change the tire began to tell me a friend of his recently lost his wife and was now diagnosed with cancer. I told the man I would pray for his friend and closed the article asking all of you to do the same.

So this evening, I was out with a client a few towns over and actually pretty excited because it was my second to last visit with this client. I had put in my resignation earlier today because God has tremendously blessed my own business so that I no longer have a need for extra clients during the week. As we were trying to leave an event, I heard the infamous flat tire noise. Wasn’t a huge deal, we were safe, still in the parking lot and I have road side assistance. Believe me, I’ve learned not to get annoyed with small setbacks because I have lived through worse. So when roadside assistance arrives, as the man began to speak I realized I knew him. I asked him if he had changed my tire about a year ago in my driveway and told me his friend was sick. He looked at me and smiled and said, “how long ago was this?” I said, “I don’t know, 6 months or more.” He smiled and informed me that his friend no longer had cancer and received a clean bill of health from his doctor recently and then he hugged me.

I’m not sure if I am in more awe of God in His awesomeness as a healer or how he set me up almost a year later, and allowed me to have a flat tire and cross paths with the same man just so that I could hear with my own ears that God had heard and answered. So to all of you that prayed? You were heard & God is still in the miracle working business.

Hebrews 2:4 God also bearing witness both with signs and wonders, with various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to His own will

Mark 16:17-18 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;  they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

#Blessed to be a #blessing

I just learned something and I felt compelled to share it with my beautiful readers. Let me back track for a second and tell you that today for me wasn’t exactly ideal. Spent the entire day in the emergency room and about an hour ago noticed that I had a flat tire. For some people that would have been enough to drive them right over the edge and they would have started screaming, swearing, asking “why me?” and all of that. I wasn’t thrilled when I saw the tire however, I realized that it could have been a lot worse. I had actually just added road side assistance to my policy two-weeks ago, my car was at home in my drive way, and I was grateful I didn’t notice it at 6:00 a.m. when I had somewhere to be. I’d like to also point out that this calm, cool, collective individual I am describing as me was not always me, believe me. But the trials and tribulations that allowed God to mold me this way we’ll visit another day during another lesson.

The tow-truck guy gets to my house and all of the sudden I found myself lending an ear as this man poured his entire life out to me as he was changing my tire. I learned that his son was killed in a car accident a few years ago and he suffered a heart attack soon after. He also was letting a friend who is battling cancer live with him and that friend lost his wife to cancer a few years ago. You might be thinking “Wow, that’s not really professional” or “Who cares?”, but that’s not what God wants you to think.  See sometimes we get so caught up in what’s happening to us and we as a people have become so self-drama centered that some of us have even lost the ability to feel compassion for other human beings because we can’t think past our own emotions or own situations. Here’s a shocking reality check though, YOU are not that important. I am not that important, WE are all important.

As this man got up to leave, I told him I was sorry I didn’t have any cash on me to tip him and he said, “don’t worry about it”. I told him I will pray for his friend and he looked back at me and said quietly, “Please do, his name is Juan.” I realized that sometimes when things happen to us, even bad things, there is always an opportunity for you to help someone else. We can’t allow ourselves to be so consumed with the little annoyances of life that we end up missing the chance to be a blessing to someone else who may very well be in more need then we are. If you’re a believer, then you fully comprehend exactly what I’m saying. We can’t say that we love God, make witty Facebook or Instagram posts to make people on the internet see how super “spiritual” we are and then miss the chance to share God’s love with someone who needs it just because we’re drowning in our own drama.  What that man was carrying in his heart was more important then my stupid tire and maybe all he needed was someone to listen.

A lot of people have their hands held out to receive a blessing but have closed fists when it comes time to be a blessing. Trust me when I tell you that if you want to see the favor of the Almighty move in your life? Be a giver, be a blessing. Stop telling people you love the Lord, SHOW THEM. You can’t be a “boss” if you haven’t learned to be a humble servant and the reason for that is because you can’t experience a divine appointed promotion without being a humble servant. You will always be called to be a server, you will always be required to be humble, you will always be required to think outside yourself. The most amazing thing about all of this is, God is so merciful and gracious that even a non-believer can find evidence of God’s hand on their life simply because they allow themselves to be a blessing to others. We are not animals or savages but if we continue to choose to behave like them then we have nobody but ourselves to blame when we reap the fruit of planting those crops. I used to be one of those mad at the world for everything that went wrong in my life people. It made a world of difference when I started to develop (and I’m still a work in progress) an attitude of gratitude.

I hope this post was a little bit of soul food for you, and if you are a praying person? Please send up a prayer for “Juan” because God is still in the miracle working business.

Be Blessed-

Q
