Self-Deception
One of the most dangerous things in this world yet so often under discussed is the mindset of self-deception. The inability to recognize yourself as you truly are will prevent you from ever really growing or changing. Too many times people fall into a place where they think they have it all figured out and they don’t. Nobody ever has it all figured out and you can’t ever be wise until you first realize you’re stupid. Don’t you know when a man thinks he’s able to stand he falls? (1 Corinthians 10:12) or that any man who is wise in his own eyes is a fool? (Isaiah 5:21, Proverbs 26:12) If you TRULY desire to live a Christ-like lifestyle? Your life is going to be a series of death & resurrection and it should be progressive (old things dying to be more like Him) not digressing (becoming more like the very things He set you free from in the first place). Perfection isn’t required but at some point common sense and maturity should be developing & if it’s not? GetChoMindRight How sad would it be to live your life deceiving yourself and then stand before the throne and He says “depart from me, I know you not”? (Matthew 7:21-23)
