The Struggle
A lesson or situation will keep repeating itself until you have learned to respond differently. Often times we ask God to help us get over a situations or emotions but fail to recognize Him when He answers. God doesn’t answer or solve things the way we want, we always want the easy way out. God is like any other loving parent and wants us to get it for ourselves so we don’t have to keep calling on Him for something we are capable of handling. (Can you imagine how annoyed you’d be if your ten year old called you in the bathroom every morning for help brushing their teeth?)If you ask for more patience, He will allow opportunities for you to practice patience not wave a magic wand and make you patient. So if you have asked God to help you with something? Be prepared to face it until you respond to it in His image & then you can graduate to the next lesson.
The Why
The “why’s” level of importance is grossly underestimated & misappropriated. Asking why isn’t always appropriate. Some things require faith to activate and why gives way to doubt which cancels faith. Something’s we don’t need to know and something are plain ol none of your business. But asking ourselves why we do something or want something is often ignored all the time because the hardest person to ever put under a microscope and examine is yourself. When you get real with God and yourself you will absolutely find things that need to be restored and transformed. If you don’t? That’s one sad party because self-deception is the worst kind. Telling yourself that you’re fine and have it all figured out is very dangerous ground because you can only ever start to become wise once you’re willing to admit that you are in fact stupid.
International Women’s Day
International Women’s Day (March 8) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity.
International Women’s Day (IWD) has been observed since in the early 1900’s – a time of great expansion and turbulence in the industrialized world that saw booming population growth and the rise of radical ideologies. International Women’s Day is a collective day of global celebration and a call for gender parity. No one government, NGO, charity, corporation, academic institution, women’s network or media hub is solely responsible for International Women’s Day. Many organizations declare an annual IWD theme that supports their specific agenda or cause, and some of these are adopted more widely with relevance than others.
A recipe for God
If you were making a recipe and tripled the salt, what would your food taste like? Salt right? If there’s too much salt it’s going to taste like salt. Same is going to happen if you put too much of any other ingredient, what’s going to manifest in the flavor is what you put in it. Same goes for believers. If you feed yourself the Word of God, it’s going to manifest in all the parts of your being (your walk, your talk, your mindset, your behavior etc). It’s also going to work like the analogy of too much salt in a recipe…. Let me explain, you can feed yourself a few scriptures but exactly what you’ve been feeding yourself more of is going to manifest. If you are feeding yourself the correct amounts of God and taking in the least amount of processed garbage the world offers then everything about your life will start to reflect the character of God and if His character is not manifesting in multiple areas of your life (where there is a visible transformation) it’s time to adjust your ingredients.
“Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy about you, saying: ‘These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me. And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’ ” When He had called the multitude to Himself, He said to them, “Hear and understand: Not what goes into the mouth defiles a man; but what comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man.””
